Frequently Asked Questions
-
How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?
It is important to get a good nights sleep, eat well, and stay hydrated prior to your appointment. Bring anything that you think will make you most comfortable such as: snacks, a blanket, headphones, books, tablets, etc.
-
Am I allowed to see the design ahead of time?
I do not provide the design prior to your appointment. I will show you the design the day of your appointment and make any requested changes day-of. For larger projects or sleeves, I will likely schedule a second consult to ensure we are both still on the same page.
-
Do you require a deposit?
I require a $100 deposit for all custom pieces. Deposits are non refundable and will go to the final cost of the tattoo. I require a 72 hour notice to cancel an appointment. If you reschedule your appointment 72 hours prior, that first deposit will still apply towards that overall price of your tattoo. Your deposit may be forfeited if you cancel within that 72 hour grace period or no-call no show.

What is the recommended tattoo aftercare?
You always want to start with clean hands when taking care of your tattoo!
Step 1: Remove Saniderm after 24 hours under warm, running water. To wash your tatoo, use antibacterial soap and your fingers to gently cleanse your fresh tattoo. Do not use towels or any abrasive objects.
Step 2: Allow the tattoo to air dry, then apply a thin layer of healing ointment (Aquafor, Hustle Butter, Mad Rabbit, etc.) You will need to keep the tattoo moisturized for the first 3-5 days by lightly applying a thin layer of the healing ointment 3-4 times a day and after washing.
Repeat steps one and two about 2 times a day for the next 3-5 days.
After 3-5 days, switch to a fragrance-free moisturizing lotion (if using Hustle Butter, you can continue to use) for the remainder of the healing process.
The healing process can take about 2 weeks. During these two weeks you should avoid submerging your tattoo while it’s healing. Running water, such as a shower is fine.
Never pick or scratch your tattoo while healing. Some scabbing is normal, and picking scabs can cause trauma to the new skin setting in.
Good skincare is good tattoo care! Once your tattoo is healed, always wear sunscreen when exposing your tattoo to the sun/UV rays. Continue to keep your tattoo moisturized and protected.
I will go over all of this with you after your appointment. I’ll also provide a paper with these instructions written on them.
